Building Automation Systems (BAS) are used in commercial HVAC applications. A BAS centralizes building operations management. It provides facility operators a single user-friendly online site, known as a Frontend, for optimal integration, system control, and data access. A BAS can improve occupant comfort and operational efficiencies, as well as reduce energy consumption and operating expenses. Frontends feature an HMI user interface which allows for viewing, monitoring, and adjustment of a building’s operations (i.e. temperature, alarming, and equipment). Remote mobile access to the system provides an additional convenient interface option for the facility operator.
